Product Information
Product OverviewProduct Introduction
4AG-0.8 is key equipment in the dry gas seal system, used to boost the driving gas pressure to maintain normal operation of the dry gas seal. Its main features are as follows:
Core Parameters
Maximum gas discharge pressure is 9.0 MPa (90 bar), maximum cycling rate is 100 cycles per minute, and the maximum gas flow capacity can reach 175 liters per minute. The nominal pressure amplification ratio is 0.8:1 (the increment of gas pressure relative to driving air pressure, not the maximum ratio).
Design Standards
Complies with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 (without stamping). The material of the high-pressure cylinder contacting process gas meets NACE MR0175/ISO15156-2 and CE ATEX explosion-proof requirements.
Driving Medium
Air, nitrogen or clean natural gas can be used as the driving gas.
Model and Materials
The model code (e.g. 4AG-0.8-ANV090-0000-0) defines the material of the drive assembly (anodized aluminum A or stainless steel S), the material of the high-pressure cylinder (316L SS, 22% Cr duplex stainless steel, super duplex stainless steel) and the connection type. Standard stainless steel or corrosion-resistant duplex steel is optional for the high-pressure cylinder.
Environmental Requirements
Ambient temperature ranges from -15 to 75°C; when the ambient temperature is below 0°C, the driving air needs to be heated.
This booster is specially designed for dry gas seal systems, featuring high displacement, corrosion resistance and explosion-proof performance, suitable for harsh industrial environments. (Compact size, weight about 48 kg, easy to install.)

Typical Applications
Use CasesOil and natural gas industry:Used in dry gas seal systems for high-pressure natural gas transmission and compressor units (such as centrifugal compressors).
Refining and petrochemical industry:Supplies seal gas at a pressure higher than that of process gas for critical rotating equipment (such as compressors and pumps) to ensure stable operation of dry gas seals.
High-pressure gas processing and pipelines:Applied in scenarios where the pressure of seal gas needs to be raised above the pressure of process medium to form a gas film seal.
Product FAQ
View all →A gas booster is a pneumatically driven intensifier that uses low-pressure drive gas (e.g. instrument air, typically 1–10 bar) on a large-area piston to compress process gas on the small-area end, producing high-pressure output. It requires no electricity, produces no sparks or heat, and is ideal for boosting, transferring, cylinder charging and gas recovery of nitrogen, natural gas, argon, helium, oxygen and hydrogen in hazardous areas. HIGH-PA air-driven gas boosters reach up to 39,000 psi (≈2,689 bar).
