Product Information
Product OverviewProduct Introduction
The 4AG-1.1 series dry gas seal booster is designed and manufactured by HIGH-PA. It is specially developed to provide stable and reliable high-pressure gas supply and boosting solutions for dry gas seal systems. This booster is widely used in dry gas seal systems of compressors in petroleum, natural gas, chemical and other industries, and is especially suitable for sour gas environments.
Core Features
High pressure output: The maximum gas discharge pressure can reach 20 MPa (200 bar / 2900 psi), meeting the requirements of high-demand seal systems.
Double-acting coaxial design: Adopting pneumatic drive, it boosts process gas by low-pressure drive gas (air, nitrogen or clean natural gas) with a nominal boosting ratio of 1.1:1 for stable and reliable operation.
Wide temperature adaptability: The maximum gas discharge temperature can reach 200 °C, and the ambient temperature ranges from -15 °C to 75 °C (a drive air heater is required for temperatures below 0 °C).
High cycle rate: The maximum cycle rate is 100 cycles per minute, with a single gas displacement of 1.23 L and a maximum gas flow rate of 123 L/min.
Materials and Standards
Complies with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1 (without stamping).
Gas-wetted components comply with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-2, suitable for sour service (containing H₂S).
Three options of wetted part materials are available: 316L stainless steel, 22% chromium duplex stainless steel and super duplex stainless steel to adapt to different corrosive environments.
Structure and Model Selection
The drive assembly can be selected from anodized aluminum or stainless steel. The total unit weight is 48 kg (stainless steel version).
Supports multiple interface standards and pipe size specifications for easy integration into different piping systems.
Flexible model numbering system, which can be customized according to materials, connections, piping classes and option codes.

Typical Applications
Use CasesOil and gas industry:Applied to dry gas sealing systems for high-pressure natural gas transportation and compressor units (such as centrifugal compressors).
Refining and petrochemical industry:Supply sealing gas at a pressure higher than that of process gas for critical rotating equipment (such as compressors and pumps) to ensure stable operation of dry gas seals.
High-pressure gas processing and pipelines:Used in scenarios where the pressure of sealing gas needs to be raised above the pressure of process medium to form a gas film seal.
Product FAQ
View all →A gas booster is a pneumatically driven intensifier that uses low-pressure drive gas (e.g. instrument air, typically 1–10 bar) on a large-area piston to compress process gas on the small-area end, producing high-pressure output. It requires no electricity, produces no sparks or heat, and is ideal for boosting, transferring, cylinder charging and gas recovery of nitrogen, natural gas, argon, helium, oxygen and hydrogen in hazardous areas. HIGH-PA air-driven gas boosters reach up to 39,000 psi (≈2,689 bar).
